Latar Belakang: Perubahan kondisi dari sehat menjadi sakit dapat berakibat pada gangguan kejiwaan individu. Gangguan kejiwaan seperti depresi dapat berdampak pada kematian penderita penyakit kronis. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat depresi pada pasien GGK. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analitik. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien gagal ginjal kronis yang menjalani pengobatan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Tabanan. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 43 dengan teknik pengambilan sampel consecutive. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu kuisoner Beck Depression Inventory-II. Analisa univarit dilakukan dengan menghitung distribusi frekuensi. Hasil: Sebagian besar 30 (70%) responden berjenis kelamin laki-laki, rata-rata usia responden pada penelitian ini 55 tahun. Tingkat depresi penderita GGK didominasi 22 (51%) orang pada kategori depresi ringan. Kesimpulan: Depresi pada penderita GGK lebih banyak dilaporkan dibandingkan penderita penyakit kronis lain seperti diabetes mellitus.
